About Me

My name is William Skea.

I’ve traveled around the world for the past 12 years to pursue my dream of becoming a mountain guide.

I’ve climbed and  skied across Canada, The United States, Europe, Australia, Japan, and New Zealand.

Until I become a certified guide, I’m passionate about using my experiences as an alpinist to teach rock climbing in Australia and teaming up on overseas trips as an expedition photographer. I specialise in big wall climbing, aid climbing, speed climbing, rope soloing, and alpine climbing.

I do both activities to raise money for my cat rescue shelter called ‘Hazelbrook Cat Shelter’, which is in Sydney, Australia.

My Current Location

I am currently based in the Blue Mountains, NSW, Australia.

I am avaliable as a rock climbing guide and photographer in Australia until mid-November 2023 and then again from March 2024.

I am avaliable for overseas expeditions only as an expedition photographer, not as a guide. I am in the south island of New Zealand from mid-November 2023 to end of Feburary 2024.

I have bigwall equipment stored in Los Angeles for trips to the United States as well as mountaineering equipment and a camper van in Christchurch for trips to New Zealand.

Expedition Photographer Hire – International

I can team up with you as a climbing partner and trip photographer in Australia and overseas on any terrain, easy or hard, whether it is rock climbing, ice climbing, skiing, or mountaineering. I have 12 years of overseas experience in each activity while carrying a camera.

My camera equipment is valued at over $60,000 AUD and includes a 600mm f4 lens for bird and wildlife expeditions and a Drone capable of holding my camera. Your photos and videos will look awesome.
